GLANCE

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. Yoga is one of the six orthodox philosophical schools of Hinduism. There are a broad variety of yoga schools, practices, and goals in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism and there are four paths or types of yoga: Karma yoga, Kriya yoga, Bhakti yoga, and Jnana yoga. Research studies have shown that traditional yoga systems that include breathing exercises and asanas or postures, chants, and meditation can reduce stress and improve immunity and lung functions. Traditional forms and modern methods of yoga are practised worldwide.

                NCC is a uniform organization which keen interest in each and every activity. Due to the Covid pandemic, cadets are not allowed to do physical activities. So the cadets of flight ‘A’ have created a website to aware the general public of the various issues happening around the world. Cadets have decided to show various yogasanas as it is one of the ancient Indian physical activity.

#MISSIONAWARENESS

VIDEO CREATION:

TEAM MISSIONAWARENESS decided to create a video of performing asanas. Cdt Joel Saldanha took the initiative of editing the video. Cadets of 2nd yr and 3rd yr have performed yogasanas. Cadets have creatively shown the importance of asanas. 55 cadets actively took part in performing yoga.

COLLAGE POSTER:

TEAM MISSIONAWARENESS then decided to make a collage poster consisting of various cadets performing yoga. Cdt Sheril has taken the initiative of creating the collage.

               Cadets were asked to perform yoga asanas every day in order to keep them fit. Cadets have actively performed asanas and kept a record of it through pictures and videos. 60 cadets took part in it.

On account of international yoga day 2021, student activity cell, student council, national cadet corps, national service scheme, youth red cross society of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) associated with Delampady Yoga Prathistana, Mangalore organized international yoga day celebration on 21st of June through google platform. Dr Sudheendra Prabhu addressed the gathering on the topic “stress and meditation myths and facts of science” 15 cadets of NCC Airwing have collectively participated in the above programme.
